I soak in the dye for Zout let it set ten minutes the stain with a stain old toothbrush and then run it through a wash cycle. Shout is a sheet that you put in the washing machine and any traps loose dyes in the loop. They work really well! Also, the pink and red wash in cold water helps reduce the chance of bleeding colors. As for the rust, it can be groped calling your local water department. They often have a product that fits into the wash cycle to remove rust from clothes.
